Woohoo it's almost closing time!  Make sure that you are out of the home no later than the day before the closing date. You want to make sure the house is in broom clean condition and that all debris and personal property has been removed. At closing, everyone is usually in the same room -- Seller, Buyer, Realtors, Lender, and Title Company -- signing the closing documents. The buyer has the most documents to sign because they are the ones that are getting the loan. Closings last around an hour for buyers that have a loan for the purchase and around 30 minutes or less for buyers purchasing in cash.

What to Bring to Closing:

•New forwarding address

•Social Security card

•Photo ID’s

•Keys to the house

•Any codes to the house

•Garage door openers

•Mailbox Number (if applicable)

•Bring Buyers Welcome Letter (Example Below)

     -This Includes Mailbox Location

    -Sprinkler Control Information

   -Garbage Information

   -Who you use for your TV and Internet Providers

   -List of handyman that you have used in the past

Be sure to do the following the day of closing:

•Cancel the utilities right after closing.

•Cancel trash services.

•Cancel homeowners insurance.
